Despite the limited tools at the time of construction, no side is more than 8 inches different
in length than another.

| The Leaning Tower of Pisa
The Leaning Tower of Pisa Leaning Tower of Pisa is a bell tower at Pisa, Italy.
It is famous for leaning 141/2 feet (4.4 meters) out of line when measured from the
seventh story. It tilts because its foundation was built on unstable soil
(it's a well known fact that Pisa architects aren't so bright).

| The Statue of Liberty
Located in New York, at 151 feet (46 meters) tall (305 feet including base and pedestal),
the Statue of Liberty symbolizes freedom throughout the world. Its formal name is Liberty
Enlightening the World. The Statue was actually a gift from the people of France.

| The Colosseum
During the Colosseum's opening ceremonies in A.D. 80, spectacles were held for 100 days
in which hundreds of animals and 2,000 gladiators were killed. Eventually, gladiator fights
were outlawed by Emperor Honorius in A.D. 404; however, animal combats continued for another
century.

| The Effiel Tower
The tower is 324 metres tall today, which is about 108 stories. Originally,
it had no television tower (there wasn't much television in 1889), and so it
was 12 metres shorter. The levels accessible to the public are at heights of
57.63 metres, or 19 stories; 115.73 metres, or 38 stories; and 273 metres, or
89 stories.

The Great Wall started as earth works thrown up for protection by different States.
The individual sections weren't connected until the Qin dynasty (221-206 B.C.).
Qin Shihuangdi, First Emperor of Qin began conscripting peasants, enemies, and anyone else
who wasn't tied to the land to go to work on the wall.

| The Taj mahal
The Taj is the most beautiful monument built by the Mughals,
the Muslim rulers of India. Taj Mahal is built entirely of white marble.
Its stunning architectural beauty is beyond adequate description, particularly at
dawn and sunset. The Taj seems to glow in the light of the full moon. On a foggy morning,
the visitors experience the Taj as if suspended when viewed from across the Jamuna river.
